This page contains information on Pathwork Helpers in the Ottawa area.

Louise Stevenson
Louise is a Pathwork Helper and teacher who came to the Pathwork from a career in international development. She followed Pathwork Studies and then Helpership Training with the New York Region Pathwork, graduating in 1992. At the same time, she also took a Diploma in Theology and an M.A. in Pastoral Groupwork.

Since then she has been working with both individuals and groups. In cooperation with Roddy Duchesne, she created and taught the first Pathwork Transformation Program in Canada, from 2001 to 2005, followed by the Soul’s Journey Program (2005- 2008). Louise served the International Pathwork Foundation as trustee and then President from 1998 to 2002, and more recently was a member of the international group which worked to ‘rebirth’ the Foundation.

Madeline Dietrich, M.A.
I was introduced to the Pathwork in the mid-1980s, and since that time I have continued to learn and integrate Pathwork principles and practices into my personal and professional life. Having completed my helpership development training, I now practice as a Pathwork Helper, through individual and group offerings, in Ottawa, Canada. To my work as a Helper, I bring 18 years of experience as a holistic psychotherapist and group facilitator. Over these years, I have supported hundreds of individuals to heal and transform through the blended disciplines of psychotherapy and spirituality. I also offer professional development workshops on this theme, as well as clinical supervision. My greatest pleasure is to support people to find God/dess and the kingdom of heaven within themselves, to help them blossom and grow, so they can fully bring their unique and particular gifts to the greater world. Jean Millar, B.Sc. (Hon.)
Jean has been studying and living the Pathwork since the late 1990s. She is currently an apprentice Pathwork Helper in Ottawa, teaching Pathwork Lecture Study classes, assisting with group leadership and offering individual Pathwork sessions. Jean comes to the Pathwork from a long career in education. She also has training in Psychosynthesis and Somatic Experiencing, a method to effectively and gently address emotional trauma. She is married and a mother of two adult daughters and stepmother to two adult sons. Jean likes to hike, canoe and ski and is an occasional hospice volunteer and a singer. Music and poetry often provide a personal deep inner connection for Jean and it is her joy to facilitate groups in which to share this with others.

Cynthia Sabiston
Cynthia has been studying the lectures and applying the concepts of the Pathwork to her daily life since 1993. She has also, for the past 10 years, contributed her administrative skills to support the vision of the Ottawa community. She has recently graduated from Helpership studies in Vermont and is currently apprenticing as a Helper in Ottawa, working with individuals and assisting in workshops, as well as facilitating her own workshops. She is also trained in Somatic Integration, working with PTSD, which she incorporates into her private practice. She began working in the alternative health field in the early 1990s; her areas of practice included Shiatsu, Reiki, and Acupuncture. In her leisure time, Cynthia is a multi-media artist and a gardener, and she sails on the Ottawa River. She also enjoys many forms of dance, particularly Sacred Circle Dancing, leading her own circle for 4 years. She has also started to combine Sacred Circle Dance and the Pathwork teachings to offer a unique way for participants to learn the Pathwork concepts through the body-mind. Cynthia's passion is in building relationship and community. In her practice she brings a dynamic blend of all of these modalities to support the unfolding process for both groups and individuals.
